This Entertainers Paradise is complete! I was brought into this project to provide drawings and make recommendations for fencing, decking colour, paving pattern and plants. This lovely couple wanted more entertaining space to lounge and dine with their large family. The main asks were for a larger paved area, safe fencing to fit in a tight space and simple, easy to maintain planting scheme. The biggest challenge was finding a paver to extend their hardscape area that would also tie into what was already existing. Finding a close match and using a double contrasting border added interest to detract the eye from blending old with new and beautifully framed in their expanded paved area. While there was a base of Japanese Maples and Emerald Cedars, with just 4 different plants, some new sod, and a lot of fresh Triple Mix soil, we managed to provide a garden with interest and variety throughout the garden spaces. Repeating plants is a strategy to make the garden cohesive. The irrigation system was adjusted to accommodate the new plants and garden shape to give peace of mind the gardens will be adequately watered. The clients are over the moon happy with the transformation and enjoying the space as intended!
